He’s not the only FDA employee to switch sides, however. Two weeks ago ex-FDA deputy Dr. Amy Abernathy joined Alphabet’s/Google’s life sciences unit. And Dr. Scott Gottlieb left the FDA’s head position in 2019 to join Pfizer’s board of directors three months later.
